We've Received The World's First Ant WTO
Today we received the best Christmas present we could have imagined.
Gamergate, through one of its subsidiary companies, has been granted a Wildlife Trade Operation (WTO) from the Department of the Environment and Energy (DEE) that grants it permission to export native Australian ants, worldwide.
Over the past year we have been working closely with the DEE to ensure that our collection methods are 100% sustainable. We are subject to strict yearly quotas of specific species and must report to the DEE each year. Further to this, we have strict guidelines outlining the monitoring and reporting of all species of ants collected, and a series of compliances we must adhere to.
All ants that will be exported will be collected within private properties owned by Gamergate across Victoria.
We'd like to thank all involved in making this a reality. This is going to change everything.
In part 2 we are looking at the various food options within each food group.
In the first part of this two part series we take a look at ant food.
In Part 3 we take a look at identifying the species.
In Part 2 we take a look at identifying a queen.
