Flying Alates Mistaken for Fire Burning Down French Basilica

A historic Basilica in France, Basilica of St Therese, had been feared to have been on fire as locals notified officials that they had witnessed smoke billowing from the roof.

Upon closer inspection the firefighters identified the smoke as a swarm of flying ants, or as we know them, alates on their nuptial flight.
